Who Needs OSHA 10-Hour Construction Training?
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration defines “construction work” as work for construction, repairs, painting, and decorating. Generally, you will need OSHA Construction training if you’re a construction worker or a contractor.
All entry-level construction workers need the 10-Hour Construction Safety Outreach, with some workers requiring additional training for specialized work. Examples of construction jobs include carpenters, electricians, laborers, masons, plumbers, sheet metal workers, tile workers, and welders.
CERTIFICATION
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an OSHA Construction Outreach DOL course completion card within 2 weeks after completion.
OSHA 10 Construction certifications do not expire. However, certain employers and local jurisdictions may mandate periodic retakes of the course to maintain safety standards.
Upon completion of the course, return to your “My Training” page and click the certificate icon. If you’ve completed the course requirements, you will be able to view and print your temporary certificate of completion.
For OSHA 10-Hour Outreach training programs, students must:
– Spend at least 600 minutes or 10 hours in the course
– Only spend a maximum of 7 hours and 30 minutes in the course each day
– Complete a survey evaluating the course upon completion
– Pass all quizzes and the final exam with a score of at least 70% in three attempts or less
– Only access the OSHA Outreach training within U.S. Jurisdiction
